Extrakta Sage is the kitchen workhorse with a little extra attitude. This improved variety is known for its high essential oil content (1.5–2.0%!) and robust, uniform growth that’s as beautiful in the garden as it is in your next roast chicken.

The soft, silvery leaves deliver that earthy, savory flavor we love in sage, and the pretty edible flowers add a bright herbal touch to rice, egg, or cheese dishes. Whether you’re growing in beds or patio pots, Extrakta is reliable, high-yielding, and tough enough to handle a little neglect.

A perennial in Zones 4–8 (that's us, SC!), this sage will thrive for years with a little winter mulch and some room to breathe. After a few seasons, she’ll appreciate a fresh start to keep that flavor punch going strong.

Care Tips
